Prices for
our puppies are listed with
their

pictures to enlarge them and the information
for that puppy or litter will be under the picture. Most range from
$400-$600, with extra small toys being more. Some older puppies may
also be less. Click to the

A deposit of
$200 is required to hold a puppy. Since the purpose is to hold
the puppy for
you, the
deposit is nonrefundable. A check is fine for the deposit; cash
for the balance is required when the puppy is picked up. Deposits
should be sent Overnight Mail (or equivalent) and clearly marked
"No Signature Needed" so the delivery can be made to our office.
We'll provide you with our mailing address as we talk or email to
arrange your puppy choice and purchase. At the time of fnal sale you
will enter into our Purchase Contract (a copy of which can be viewed by
clicking here).
All registered puppies will be
sold with a limited registration unless you specify that you want
the puppy for breeding. We'll do our best to work with you for a
breeding quality dog if this is what you desire - so be sure to let us
know if you plan to breed the dog you are purchasing.
Rockridge Kennel does NOT ship
- all puppies must be picked up here at 8 weeks of age.
We're about an hour south of the Atlanta airport; car rentals are
available at Hartsfield Airport or Groome Transportation provides
ground transportation to Macon. We can meet you in Macon, but not at
the airport. If you are flying in to pick up your pup and consequently
returning home via plane with it, a puppy can fly under your seat with
a reservation on the airline
flight. You need an airline approved crate. If your airline requires a
health certificate, we need to know
in time to get it for you a few days before you are coming, and there
is a $30 vet
charge for the certificate. What this all means is you need to be sure
the airline is aware that your return flight includes your new puppy,
and we need to know that it's going to fly.
If you are driving, a carrying
crate is also recommended. Several layers of
newspaper sections in the crate works fine, and a top dirty paper can
be pulled out to leave the puppy on a clean one.
Puppies held after 9 weeks will
incur an additional $50 per week surcharge for kennel, board and
health care.

Please
note that your new pup should not be placed on any public ground (rest
areas, gas stations, MacDonalds, parks, PetsMart, PetCo) until it has
had the full set of puppy shots - usually through the age of four
months. This is to protect your puppy - just like a human baby you need
to allow it to develop its immune system before exposing it to public
domains and other animals. These places can harbor germs - so do
not put your pet's life at risk.
And - remember that you are
embarking upon a long time bond. Puppies grow up to be dogs that will
enjoy a 12 to 17 year lifespan in most cases - you are bringing home a
new member of your family. Be sure of your commitment - and you will
have a lifelong friend for the life of your dog. Remember that pups are
not disposable commodities - and in general it is not a good idea to
make them Christmas or birthday gifts for anyone other than you and
your immediate family. Please understand this at any time of year -
this is a life-long commitment you are making to a living creature.
That being said - if for
some unforeseen reason you find that you cannot keep a puppy that you
purchase from us, please get in touch with us and give us the chance to
help you re-home it, rather than taking it to a shelter (or worse). Our
dogs and pups depend on us to provide them good homes, all of their
lives.
